—  COMUNICAZIONE AZIENDALE —

Genoa, Italy – K- Ships has selected Eligroup as supplier of the Public Address (PA) and General Alarm (GA) systems for two vessels built at the San Giorgio del Porto shipyard, identified as projects SG116 and SG118.

The collaboration between K-Ships and Eligroup combines technical expertise, innovation, and a shared commitment to safety and sustainability within the maritime sector.

Through its strong project management capabilities and extensive experience in shipbuilding and retrofit activities, K- Ships identified Eligroup as the ideal technology partner for the supply of certified onboard communication and alarm systems, fully compliant with international maritime regulations.

The PA and GA systems supplied by Eligroup will ensure reliable onboard emergency communication, contributing to the highest safety standards for crew, operators, and future vessel operations.

Key Projects

SG116 Project

This collaboration with the San Giorgio del Porto shipyard marks a significant milestone in shipbuilding. The SG116, designed by K-Ships, is the Mediterranean’s first methanol bunkering vessel, representing an important step forward in sustainable marine fuel infrastructure.

The vessel will be equipped with:
• one MAN 175D generator engine (1800 kW),
• two MAN D2842 LE327 generators (752 kW each),
• one MAN D2676 LE323 emergency back-up generator (240 kW).

Designed with dual-fuel capability and advanced emission reduction technologies, the vessel is intended to minimize environmental impact while supporting the transition toward greener maritime operations.

SG118 Project

The dual-fuel electric unit has a 7,500 m³ LNG capacity and supports both ship-to-ship and ship-to-truck operations, improving the efficiency of small-scale energy logistics in the Mediterranean.

Green Pearl is an innovative solution for maritime and land energy logistics, supporting transport decarbonization, strengthening Italy’s role as a Mediterranean gas hub, and contributing to national energy security.

Francesco Russo, Founder & CEO of K- Ships, commented:

“This partnership with Eligroup reflects our commitment to selecting reliable and highly specialized partners for technologically advanced shipbuilding projects. Safety, innovation, and sustainability remain at the core of every solution we develop.”

Alessandro Solla, Founder & CEO of Eligroup, added:
